Everyone from Ben Bernanke to my local librarian is talking about the need to create jobs. For the last two years the local library has been bustling with unemployed folks using the computers and reading the newspapers and journals. While I am happy to see a busy library, I know many of these folks would rather be working. Last night on 60 Minutes Ben was not optimistic that those jobs would be created any time soon.
My question to you is what do you think will rattle the cage of businesses big and small to spur them into hiring again? How do we create demand and an environment where businesses are ready to pull the trigger and add to their rosters?
