One request I get from parents is, “how can I teach my kids to be better with their money?” I say start early. Begin by showing them how you make decisions. Can you explain to a 6 year old why buying a gallon of milk may be a better deal than buying a quart? These types of lessons have impact on our kids. Engage them in your thought process when it comes to money decisions and encourage them to challenge you. If you do that you’ve taken the most important step– you’ve got the conversation started! -Mary
