Faith-What is it?

What is Faith? Is it a passive act of praying for something to happen and then waiting faithfully to see if it comes to be? Or is faith more active? Is it believing in something and working to make it happen?  I don’t mean just doing a few things and then hoping for the best. I mean working your butt off to make what you want happen; believing the whole time it is possible.  You are preparing for it, despite the odds against you. This to me is real faith. When you believe in something so much, despite the fact that the cards are stacked against you and you are still willing to put the sweat equity into it, you have faith. I hear a lot of people talk about having faith, but I see how little they do to make things happen. That is not faith. Nothing in you is really being tested and anyone can do it. When you put your time, your muscles, your money and whatever else you have on the line for something and stick to it, you have faith. Sometimes those decisions seem foolish, but when you persevere, what fuels you is faith.
